The Electronic Decision Database and County Local Committees

County Local Committees are an integral part of the Council's decision-making and consultative mechanisms. They proactively link to and interact with the Cabinet and Select Committees. Proposed 'Executive' decisions by County Local Committees (i.e. those that have been delegated to them by Cabinet Members) have to be formally notified to all County Councillors and the public before they take effect. This enables proposed decisions to be "called in" by members of the County Council for scrutiny, which is an opportunity to recommend amendment, reconsideration or deferral.

Proposed and confirmed decisions taken by the Cabinet, Cabinet Members and 'Executive' decisions taken by the 14 County Local Committees are entered into the Electronic Decision Database.  Details of each proposed and confirmed decision are published on the County Council website at the following link:
